ABB Publishes New Leaflet On Variable Area Flowmeters

ABB’s Measurement Products’ business announces publication of an eight-page leaflet on variable area flowmeters (rotameters). The leaflet explains their main benefits such as simplicity, cost effectiveness, flexibility, and reliability. According to the leaflet, these meters come pre-calibrated and are easy to install and maintain. They have long life expectancy and no upstream/downstream straight piping requirements. The leaflet notes that many have been operating in a variety of industries and on all kinds of fluids for 50 years or more.

Four leaflet pages illustrate and summarize the capabilities of ABB's VA meter families: VA Master FAM540, Armored purgemeter FAM3200, PurgeMaster 10A6100, and VA Master glass tube meters. Covered are design details, corrosion resistance, safety considerations, and transmitter features. The leaflet notes typical industry applications for each family type.
