A Breakthrough Design for De-Superheating Steam

The Komax design features a unique patented static mixing module placed in-line immediately after a water spray injector. This internal mixing module, the Equalizer, contains no moving parts. The Equalizer forces the water droplets and steam to instantly mix together. This leads to rapid vaporization of the water into the full diameter of the steam flow. The effectiveness of this mixing action greatly reduces the amount of pipe run necessary before placement of a temperature measuring device.

The Komax design sprays the fine water droplets upstream. The uniform water spray is forced downstream and is evenly distributed as it flows through the mixing module.

The Komax Equalizer mixing module has delivered proven performance for many years in the direct injection steam heater line. It mixes quickly and efficiently yet creates a very low pressure drop.

Komax is the first to use mixing as part of the de-superheater design. The Komax unit's efficiency is unmatched by any other. It is available in all pipe sizes.
