EASY TO CARE FOR AND HIGHLY DEPENDABLE
Six precision-ground steel rollers are linked to travel up and down bi-directional ramps created by the back of the jaws and the hexagonal cam. This rolling action minimizes friction while causing expansion and retraction of the chuck's jaws.

CONCENTRIC EXPANSION
As the chuck expands to grip a core, it automatically lifts and centers the roll. Roll bounce is eliminated, and web tension is more easily controlled.

NO LUBRICATION NECESSARY
Less friction within the chuck means that parts replacement is seldom required, and lubrication is unnecessary. This means little dust accumulation , no jamming, and consistent, easy removal of cores.

NO SIDEARM FORCE NEEDED
The DF-2000 grips harder as more torque is applied. Other chuck designs rely on sidearm force to push the gripping elements into the core wall, weakening the core. As more sidearm force and torque are applied, core ends distort, the inner wall tears out and the material at the end of the roll becomes unusable.

MULTIPLE CORE REUSE and ELIMINATION OF END-OF-ROLL WASTE
The DF-2000 uses smooth jaws to grip the core. There is no penetration of the internal wall so cores can be used over and over, and rolls can be run down to the last wrap.

The DF-2000 is available for virtually any size core, in single, step, quick disconnect, and through shaft models. Step chucks make running different sized cores simple. If your machine isn't wide enough to accommodate step chucks, our quick disconnect version makes changing core sizes quick and easy - just remove one bolt and switch to the alternate chuck. And for through-shaft applications, the DF-2000 mounts easily onto a shaft, and typically works with a collar at the opposite end.

With over 25,000 units in service and being standard equipment on major OEM machines including ECH Will, Jagenberg, Bielomatik, Marquip, Strachan Henshaw, OHI, and BHS, the DF-2000 is the proven choice for shaftless core chucks.
