Although there are many suppliers of steam and condensate systems around the world, there is not a single company
Although there are many suppliers of steam and condensate systems around the world, there is not a single company that links the syphon design to the steam system with years of research documenting syphon characteristics - except Johnson.

Johnson's approach to dryer drainage systems is to keep the system as simple as possible while still achieving production objectives. Many dryer drainage systems are overly complicated and have poor long term reliability. Operational flexibility and reliability are inherent in the design of a Johnson system. With these features, the design focuses on optimizing sheet quality, production capacity, energy efficiency and machine runnability.

TECHDRY PRO is an advanced dryer drainage system that combines sophisticated control strategies with solid engineering to provide total control of the dryer drainage system. The "on-off" system is turned on to warm up the dryers, and under programmed control, prepares the dryers to bring the sheet on. The system automatically adjusts itself to changing machine conditions, without requiring operator involvement. Sheet breaks, pressure changes, grade changes, and other upset conditions are automatically handled by the system. TechDry Pro establishes all system set points based on production and drainage requirements. The system control logic ensures that the system pressures, blow-through flows, and differential pressures are adjusted to satisfy the production needs and condensate removal is guaranteed.

MEANINGFUL SYSTEM GUARANTEES on system performance include:

  • System ease of use
  • Drying capacity
  • Steam consumption
  • Turndown capabilities
  • Dryer flooding elimination
  • System reliability
