GL&V Receives Orders for their New Hydra-Sizer Technology

GL&V has received orders for four of their patented new Hydra-Sizer sheet Impregnation systems.
GL&V has received orders for four of their patented new Hydra-Sizer sheet Impregnation systems. Three units will be installed in 2001, the fourth unit will be installed in 2002. These sales were the result of successful in mill trials that demonstrated the systems ability to improve sheet strength characteristics.
The Hydra-Sizer system applies additives on the wet end of the paper machine. The first commercial installation has been running successfully for two years applying uncooked and unmodified starch on packaging grades. It can apply up to 200 pounds per ton of starch with retention levels as high as 90%.
