SOLVAir® Hydrogen Peroxide For Scrubbing Stack Gases That Contain SO2, NOx, and H2S and R-SH odors

SOLVAir Hydrogen Peroxide is an environmentally-compatible chemical whose byproducts are oxygen and water. It is used for scrubbing stack gases that contain sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) or odors such as hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and mercaptans (R-SH).
The benefits of hydrogen peroxide include its ability to oxidize the absorbed pollutants to non-polluting byproducts, thus eliminating the potential for their re-release and simplifying the disposal of spent scrubber liquors.
With NOx and SO2, the use of hydrogen peroxide results in increased rates of adsorption, smaller gas scrubbers, lower capital cost, elimination of reduced sulfur and nitrogen species in the scrubber liquors and, if acidic scrubber solutions are used, the generation of nitric acid and sulfuric acid that can be recovered or recycled.
