Weight Polyethylene
Weller HDP-1900 has been specifically engineered for heavy industrial applications. Weller HDP-1900 is a cross-linked,ultra high molecular polyethylene which is highly resistant to a broad spectrum of chemicals and abrasives. Weller HDP-1900's low coefficient of friction makes it an ideal material for lining applications in the coal handling, pulp and paper, petrochemical and transportation industries. Weller HDP-1900 is 1/8 the weight of steel resulting in additional labor savings. Weller HDP-1900 also exhibits outstanding resistance to environmental stress-cracking as a result of its high molecular weight. Thus, it will perform
Benefits
Installation - Weller HDP-1900 is 1/8 the weight of steel which reduces handling time and costs. Easily fabricated with common woodworking tools.
Chemical and Corrosive Resistant - Weller HDP-1900 is highly resistant to many of the chemical and corrosive problems found in the pulp and paper, mining, chemical and processing plants.
Abrasive Resistance - In addition to a low coefficient of friction HDP-1900 is self-lubricating. It outwears stainless steel 2:1, neoprene rubber 6:1 and polyurethane 2:1 - data is based on a 50/50 sand/water slurry test.
Moisture Resistance - Weller HDP-1900 repels water, reduces freezing, swelling and disintegration.
Acoustical Impedance - Weller HDP-1900 can reduce plant and equipment noise significantly through energy absorption.
Cost Effective - extended life; less costly and safer installation. Can often replace ceramic, stainless, and other alloy strength technology.
Impact Strength - Weller HDP-1900 has impact strength far in excess of most polymers.
Nontoxic - Fumes not harmful to breath. *MSDS sheet available upon request.
