Boston Gearn duty ACX Series micro-controllers are OEM designed, microprocessor-based, software-controlled units, housed in rugged, compact NEMA 4 non-ventilated enclosures. The units consist of five primary components: an aluminum heatsink, a power cube assembly, a power board, an integrated logic board, and a sealed non-metallic housing which contains a water-tight membrane keypad. The 208/230 and 460 VAC, single and three-phase units offer motor overload protection, three preset speeds, and 90 programmable parameters.
These units are available in 1/6 through 30 HP models, and features ground fault circuit protection, selectable automatic restart, and 21 selectable volts/hertz patterns. The unit features an external analog reference source with a 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 10 VDC follower. When programmed correctly, the micro-controller can start into a rotating motor without tripping the drive.
