BTG, Division of Spectris Technologies Inc.00 is a brightness transmitter designed for monitoring pulp bleaching in distributory control, supervisory, or stand-alone applications. The unit calculates a compensated brightness signal that takes into account variables and inputs from a variety of process measurements. The microprocessor-based transmitter is designed for use with the SPC-1000 hand-held terminal. Key features include: low-weight for easy handling and installation, an integrated probe retraction system, interface capability with a handheld terminal or PC, solid state LED technology for improved repeatability and measurement accuracy, OPC technology which allows software and hardware device drivers to "plug and play," an optical reference system for periodic check-up of the transmitter and reduction of calibration time, and various mounting studs.
