Today's municipal and county governments face increasing state regulations, while the tax dollars need to meet these requirements are dwindling with each budget. Many cities and towns are now moving toward Geographic Information Systems (GIS) implementation that allows decision-makers to readily access important land and infrastructure data. The municipalities must be responsive to the needs of a number of potential end-users with diverse applications. They must also implement such systems in a cost-effective way which can be justified to taxpayers.

Since 1948, Sewall has provided a full range of mapping services to municipal and county governments. We have mapped over 750 cities, towns, and counties. Our major projects have covered up to 220,000 parcels, encompassed 585 square miles, and spanned several county-wide departments. We have also assisted private companies, including several utilities, with meeting their mapping needs.

Sewall can provide as much assistance as your municipality requires, depending on your particular needs. We can bring our staff and equipment to your site, and work side-by-side with your personnel on any aspect of your project, including definition of project parameters and quality acceptance standards. Our cadastral mapping services include annual map updating, metes and bounds deed research and recompilation, and map automation services, including GIS development, coordinate geometry (COGO) mapping, property card updating, database creation, updating and integration, training, and public meeting support.

We have assisted over 40 municipalities with specialty 9-1-1 emergency response mapping services, and over 35 cities and towns with municipal comprehensive plan mapping services.

Sewall's staff of experienced professionals specializes in GIS, cartography, natural resources, and computer science. Our company is housed in a modern and secure facility with state-of-the-art computer systems. We match our hardware and software resources to meet client requirements.

We stand by our commitment to providing customers with the highest quality cadastral mapping services possible. Sewall's professional service team combines the latest equipment and technology with strong project leadership to ensure that the Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) standards established by our clients are upheld unconditionally. We respond to our customers' concern for completing a project on time and within budget by holding regularly scheduled project team meetings where we and our clients can discuss the progress and direction of their projects.

The careful combination of these elements has resulted in Sewall's unmatched reputation for quality cadastral mapping. Our customers return to us again and again for annual updates and new municipal mapping projects, and recommend Sewall to other cities and towns seeking assistance with their mapping. We are proud of this reputation, and are pleased to provide mapping services that are responsive to the growing needs of our present and future clients.
