The CellecoScreen is a universal pressure screen designed by GL&V/Celleco for efficient removal of contaminants from many types of pulp streams.
The CellecoScreen is a universal pressure screen designed by GL&V/Celleco for efficient removal of contaminants from many types of pulp streams. Its application areas include coarse and fine screening for secondary fiber and virgin pulp as well as fractionation and fiber recovery.

Key Benefits

    • High Consistency Coarse & Fine Screening
    • High Removal Efficiencies
    • Small Floor Space Requirements
    • Reconditionable & Adjustable Rotor
    • Removable Bearing Cartridge
High Consistency Capability
The Celleco Screen's capacity to treat pulps up to consistencies as high as 5.5% is attributed to its internal dilution control system and unique rotor design. Rather than use the water to only transport the rejected stock away from the screen, it is also used to facilitate the screening.

The screen's rotor design allows the pulp to be more uniformily distributed across the screen plate, resulting in a more even loading, which reduces the tendency to thicken. These features not only enable the screen and auxiliary equipment to be downsized, but also enhance the efficiency of the screening action.

Space-Saving Access
In terms of maintainability, the CellecoScreen offers one of the most friendly designs in terms of rotating assembly removal. The assembly is easily removed from the front of the screen for maintenance and repair. This saves space because in conventional screens it has been necessary to also open the back to remove parts. This "front only" design innovation means that the CellecoScreen does not need a lot of access space behind it. It can, for example, be located with its back very close to a blind wall.

Replaceable Foil Edge
A second maintenance feature is a replaceable leading edge on the foil blades of the rotor. The leading edge, which is made of hardened steel, is bolted onto the foil blade in the direction of the rotation. This means, when the blades are worn, they can simply be unbolted and replaced with new ones. This solution is preferable to conventional designs because the rotor does not need to be sent back to the manufacturer for rebalancing when new foil blades are attached. This allows the rotor to be reconditioned in your mill, keeping your screen operating at maximum efficiency and uptime.

Interchangeable Basket/Rotor Combinations
The concept of the CellecoScreen is to have a very basic structure, which can accommodate many interchangeable screen basket and rotor combinations in order to get optimal performance for different types of applications. For example, the CellecoScreen can be used for both coarse and fine screening. Our patented "riflewave" basket is employed in both applications for maximum effectiveness.
