The Cleanpac 270 reverse hydrocyclones form an efficient system for removing lightweight contaminants, such as plastics, hot melts, waxes and styrofoams.
The Cleanpac 270 reverse hydrocyclones form an efficient system for removing lightweight contaminants, such as plastics, hot melts, waxes and styrofoams. The system also removes shives and pitch formations efficiently. The Cleanpac 270 reverse hydrocyclone system is designed to be located either before or after the Cleanpac 270 heavy reject cleaner system. In fact, the two designs have a considerable number of common parts.

The Cleanpac 270 reverse hydrocyclone system, type RT, is a pulp thickener, with a thickening factor of 1.0-2.5%. The higher the thickening factor, the higher the efficiency, with which lightweight rejects can be removed. The thickening effect can minimize the need for other dewatering equipment. Where thickening is not needed, we recommend using the Cleanpac 270 reverse, type R. The type R is also used as a fiber recovery stage for RT.

Key benefits

    •Compact design
    •Light reject removal
    •Good runnability
    •Pulp thickener
Three-in-one hydrocyclone means fewer units to install
The Cleanpac 270 reverse hydrocyclone houses three 60mm diameter (2.5 inch) hydrocyclones in one cleaner body. The cyclone cassette combines the operating ease, high capa-city, and low reject rates of a large cleaner with the cleaning efficiency of a small cleaner.

Small particles are removed efficiently
A small diameter hydrocyclone develops higher g-forces and a greater cleaning efficiency at a constant power input. The high centrifugal force that develops in the separation zone of the Cleanpac 270 reverse hydrocyclones ensures an exceptionally high separation of light reject contaminants from pulp.
