Paques has recently introduced to the North American market the compact BIOPAQ-IC (internal circulation) reactor, a small modular expanded granular sludge bed (EGSB) anaerobic reactor, completely pre-engineered and shop-fabricated.

The standard package includes an epoxy-coated carbon steel tank (stainless steel is available on request), with all necessary flanged connections and proprietary internals made of corrosion-resistant materials.

The packaged IC reactor has lower and upper sections which are easily joined together at site.
The lower section is cylindrical with a diameter of 7.4 ft (2.25 m); the upper section includes a transition piece and has a square cross-section 8.2 ft by 8.2 ft (2.5 m x 2.5 m).
