The ID-2 cylinder and rotor provides improved debris removal, increased screening capacity, increased long fiber yield, and increased operating consistency in fine screening systems. The technology is part of a family of new pressure screens that includes the recently released Ultra-TEK up-flow pressure screen, and the Fiber-NET and Screen-ONE designs to be released in early 2001. The design of the cylinder and rotor allows more active screening to take place along the entire length of the slotted screen cylinder. It enables the quality advantage of smaller slots while improving capacity, consistency and long fiber passage. This provides bottom line results with high quality fiber and less contaminants going to the paper machine.
