The Helipoire is a state-of-the-art batch pulping system for a wide range of applications.
The Helipoire is a state-of-the-art batch pulping system for a wide range of applications including:
- Deinking
- Virgin Pulp
- Old Corrugated Containers
- Double-lined Kraft
The compact, energy-efficient system consists of:
- The Aikawa Helico Pulper, a high-consistency batch pulper that defibers by efficiently circulating the stock creating fiber-to-fiber shearing action.
- The Lamort Poire/Scavenger, which provides external pulper extraction and first stage screening and eliminates the need for an extraction plate in the pulper tub.
This combination delivers excellent defibering without any breakup of non-fibrous material. There is no cutting or violent action within the pulper. With each pulping cycle, the tub is emptied without large contaminants being held by an extraction plate and pummeled by a rotor. The Scavenger provides exctaction external to the pulper and reduces fiber loss by separating fiber from the contaminants with a washing arrangement.
Performance Advantages
- Superior Defibering
- Excellent Loosening of Inks, Pigments and Binders
- Efficient Removal of Contaminants
- Lower Chemical and Energy Costs
- Elimination of Downstream Contaminants
