High Performance Paper Society Of Japan Participates At Specialty Papers 2012
Atlanta, GA - The High Performance Paper Society of Japan will participate in this year's Specialty Papers 2012 Conference, to be held November 7-8, 2012, in Rosemont, Illinois. It's the only conference dedicated exclusively to the specialty papers industry and covers technology, markets and applications. The Japanese association, participating as part of its 50th anniversary celebration, will take part in the technical program and display innovative products and samples manufactured by members.
"Specialty grades continue to gain more attention in global markets and this year's conference features a top notch technical program covering cutting edge technology including for the first time ever mill presentations on new technology," according to Larry N. Montague, president and CEO of TAPPI. "We welcome the participation of Japan's specialty papers group as they celebrate their 50th anniversary. The breadth and depth of information on this year's program make Specialty Papers 2012 a must attend event."
The High Performance Paper Society of Japan has 50 member companies and was formed in 1962. The society had its origins in synthetic fiber based wet-laid nonwovens and now encompasses the broader functional papers business. Japanese manufacturers are well known in segments such as battery separator materials, reverse osmosis membrane substrate and other markets. Presentations at the conference will cover past, present and future markets for specialty grades, nano-cellulose for barrier coatings, new high performance fibers designed for functional paper and nano-fiber nonwovens applications.
The Specialty Papers 2012 conference is a collaboration of TAPPI and Smithers Pira. This year's conference program features multiple in-depth technical sessions covering the latest updates on packaging, print, applications, technology, markets and raw materials. An additional highlight this year is exclusive content on curtain coating, one of the hottest topics in the paper industry.
