The screen is designed to provide, more precise fiber separation, more consistent operation, and more reliable service than any previous generation of pressure screen. It offers both high removal and high accepts rates, even under flow, process, and stock variations. It performs equally well at low and medium consistencies.
The unique design of this pressure screen features a parabolic rotor body with conical baffles. This distributes feed more evenly and keeps hydraulic loads consistent, regardless of flow rates. Even the rotor tips are designed to reduce sensitivity to feed pressures, while preventing screen clogging.
A wedgewire screen basket offers twice the open area of a milled basket. This allows greater efficiency or capacity with the same sized slots, or equivalent performance with smaller slots. As a result, the screen can capture more contaminants, while accepts pass freely through. This means fewer shives, specks, and stickies, which translates into fewer problems from the headbox to the reel.
