Husky lnsul Coat is a fire retardant vinyl coating used to seal fiberous insulation, mat insulation, duct board, unskinned polyurethane and may also be used on closed cell foam. Insul Coat will produce a skin membrane over insulation and creates a barrier against moisture and chemical attack to the insulation. lnsul Coat is a tough durable coating that withstands heavy abrasion. When properly applied lnsul Coat prevents insulation from breaking down and fibers migrating in the air stream. An anti-microbial biostat may be added to Insul Coat to provide long term protection against mold, mildew and funguses which are the sources for Legionelia and Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). Insul Coat impedes abrasion, is puncture resistant and has an excellent fire retardant rating. Insul Coat is often used in place of a double panel system. A coating for IAQ concerned companies that can satisfy two IAQ needs: First prevent deterioration of fiber insulation; Second aid in preventing the growth of micro-organisims by intrduction of our anti-microbial biostat treatment of the coating. *Insul Coat Passes requirements for UL94HBF.
