Intercon Paper Installs New MarquipWardUnited SheetWizard
Phillips, WI - Intercon Paper recently installed the MarquipWardUnited SheetWizard folio sheeter at its facility in Dallas, TX. Intercon Paper is a paper and board converter that specializes in fine paper and board converting, industrial packaging, and food packaging grades of paper. Located in a 100,000-square-foot, rail-served warehouse gives Intercon the capability to sheet and rewind approximately 2,000 tons of paper per month. The SheetWizard adds to the company's capabilities, converting an assortment of substrates for web printing and other roll applications.
Intercon Paper selected a 73-inch SheetWizard sheeter equipped with four webs running capability to allow versatility to handle wide rolls of paper products without having to rewind them or guillotine trim, and to provide press-ready skids to its customers. This capability is a significant advantage that keeps the cost and waste down by eliminating extra steps when handling the paper. The ability to sheet up to six pockets makes it the only machine of its kind in the region.
Intercon Paper's decision to select the SheetWizard sheeter was motivated by the exceptional service that MarquipWardUnited has provided since the beginning of the project. With MarquipWardUnited's help, Intercon is smoothly transitioning into a brand new era in its business.
Roy Rodriguez, president of Intercon Paper, reported, "Now we are able to meet new customer demands and turn product much faster. That keeps our clients happy and coming back! People are impressed by the machine, and they are impressed to see the efficiency and the quality of the product coming out. We are very satisfied with the investment, and we are very happy with MarquipWardUnited's sales and service people. They are team players and those are the types of partnerships that you look for in business. If this machine continues to perform as we expect, and if we continue to see a positive future for our business, our company will probably look at purchasing another SheetWizard to replace the other sheeting machines and paper and board sheeters that are currently in operation. The SheetWizard is that flexible."
