SNC-Lavalin's reputation has been carefully crafted from more than 50 years of successfully completed projects. SNC-Lavalin's record of successful projects includes pulp mills, paper mills (newsprint, specialty groundwood, fine papers, etc.), effluent treatment, energy optimization, etc.

As a result of careful attention to detail, SNC-Lavalin has remained a first choice for a large portion of the pulp and paper industry. Over the last decade, for example, we have been responsible for the detailed engineering of approximately 40 per cent of the new paper machine capacity in Canada.

The globalization of the pulp and paper industry has provided the incentive to expand our horizons into the international marketplace. Projects have been successfully completed in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Indonesia and Australia.
