Valmet is a world leader in the supply of pulping and fiber preparation technologies
Valmet is a world leader in the supply of pulping and fiber preparation technologies. We are the only supplier in the world able to deliver complete fiberlines for chemical and mechanical pulping, from wood handling to the paper machine headbox or pulp bale.

In Valmet Chemical Pulping we are supplying systems for pulp cooking, de-knotting, screening, brown stock washing, oxygen and ozone delignification, bleaching, rescreening, pulp drying, baling and bale dewiring. We also supply both individual wood handling products, such as barking drums and chippers, and complete wood handling processes.

Valmet Mechanical Pulping includes the mechanical pulping processes, recycled fiber and stock preparation related technologies of former Sunds Defibrator and Valmet. We focus on fiber treatment processes, paper quality and process cost-efficiency requirements, all the way from fiber to paper, especially for newsprint, wood-containing and wood-free printing and writing papers, board and packaging as well as tissue grades. Our main process supply include C/TMP (chemi/thermomechanical pulping), P/GW (pressurized/groundwood), recycled fiber (DIP, deinked pulp and OCC, old corrugated container) systems, stock preparation, PM approach and white water systems.

Chemical Pulping
Operations in the chemical pulping field cover the delivery of technology and equipment for complete fiber lines, from wood handling to the final product. The company's main technologies for chemical pulping applications include woodhandling, cooking, knotting, screening and washing, oxygen and ozone delignification, bleaching, pulp drying and baling. Valmet fiber technology is a world leader in the field of environmentally-sound chemical pulping processes, including elemental chlorine-free (ECF) and totally chlorine-free (TCF) pulping processes.

Mechanical Pulping Lines
The new Valmet Mechanical Pulping Lines includes previous Sunds Defibrator and Valmet mechanical pulping, recycled fiber and stock preparation related technologies
