RollCal 2 is the next generation roll measurement system that features the multipoint measurement principle
RollCal 2 is the next generation roll measurement system that features the multipoint measurement principle, capable of measuring true out-of-roundness of all types of paper machine rolls. Using new carbon fiber measurement frames providing maximum rigidity and durability, the RollCal 2 offers many new features over the successful and widely used RollCal.
Together with the advanced RollControl CNC based grinder automation package, near perfect roll geometry can be achieved which results in improved paper machine performance and paper quality. With user-friendly Windows '95 or NT 4.0 based software, the new RollCal 2 can now successfully measure the true out-of-roundness of rolls while positioned in a roll grinder or lathe.
Papertech is pleased to announce that it also offers RollCal probe servicing to its North American clients from Vancouver, BC. This service allows for a significantly quicker turn-around time and reduces the shipping, handling and importing/exporting costs that were associated in returning it to it's Finish manufacturer (RollTest).
Papertech recommends that the RollCal be serviced annually. If this is not possible, then, at the minimum, the support and measurement probes should be regularly checked for wear. Although the probes are robust and relatively maintenance-free, routine service is required to ensure continued precision and accuracy.
