The biggest problem all Mill and Converter factories have to deal with, when their product is wond -like a carpet- into large rolls (be it Paper, Film Foil, etc). These rolls are then sliced into rolls of smaller width, depending on the orders to be filled. When a roll is to be cut into smaller-sized rolls, it is transported to the cutting room and mounted on the cutting machine to be sliced by prepositioned blades. These blades are set to yield a number of smaller rolls for customer orders, and if possible, any leftover roll would have a width which is saleable. When any leftover roll is too small to be saleable, this is the TRIM LOSS.
