Turbo-Jet scrubbers can remove sub-micron particles, fumes, and fine dust at low to moderate pressure drops. These scrubbers are most suitable for applications requiring simultaneous gas absorption or cooling in addition to removal of sub-micron particles and fumes.

Turbo-Jet scrubbers incorporate a Turbo-Tray and one or more Multi-Jet impingement trays. The unique Turbo-Tray promotes agglomeration of particles rendering them readily removable by the impingement trays downstream.

Turbo-Tray consists Of multiple Turbulator chambers mounted over slot openings. By forcing dirty gases to accelerate in the confines of Turbulator chambers along with liquid sprays injected into them, small particles are induced to agglomerate and to impinge against atomized liquid droplets under the influences of high turbulence and the presence of a large number of atomized liquid droplets. Agglomerated particles are ultimately removed in the impingement tray section downstream. This 2-stop concept results in better energy efficiency and enables removal of sub-micron particles at lower pressure drops than that are needed with conventional Venturi scrubbers.
