Valmet To Supply APP, The World's Fastest Coated Paperboard Machine, To Guangxi Jingui Pulp And Paper In China

(GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Valmet will supply a coated paperboard production line (PM 2) including extensive automation and industrial internet packages for APP's Guangxi Jingui Pulp and Paper (GJPP) plant in Qinzhou, China. The commissioning of the machine is planned for 2021.

The order is included in Valmet's first quarter 2020 orders received. The value of the order will not be disclosed. The total value of this type of order is typically around EUR 150-200 million.

When launched, PM 2 is the world's fastest, most powerful and highly modern coated board making machine. The PM 2 follows the Ningbo PM 4 machine launched by APP in 2014, which is currently the world's fastest folding boxboard machine (FBB).
