WellerCLAD is a composite material that combines the high hardness of chromium, tungsten or titanium carbides with the ductility of low alloy steel.
WellerCLAD is a composite material that combines the high hardness of chromium, tungsten or titanium carbides with the ductility of low alloy steel. Depending on the application, a custom blend of carbides in combination with manganese, vandium and other alloys is metallurgically bonded through a fusion weld process. Metallurgical research coupled with adherence to rigid production standards has made WellerClad's quality the most consistent and reliable overlay available to industry.

WellerCLAD can be custom designed to be impact resistant, abrasion resistant or a combination of both. The high toughness of WellerCLAD is retained at temperatures approaching 1200 deg. F coupled with superior impact properties.

WellerCLAD can be cold formed and has excellent weldability. Weller's advanced overlay technology enables production control of carbide dispersion and dilution. WellerCLAD offers extended performance as a liner or as the base metal in Weller's repalcement parts such as fan blades, elbow liners, mining equipment, wear pads and butterfly valves.

It is also a cost-effective replacement for traditional field applied hardfacing. Weller's application engineers are available to discuss your most demanding applications.
