The Addvisor K896 includes the Winder Controller, Reel Controller, System Manager, and System Archiver modular system packages

The Addvisor K896 includes the Winder Controller, Reel Controller, System Manager, and System Archiver modular system packages. It marks bad paper, holes, etc., on the reel, provides roll density monitoring and report generation, winder auto stop control, reel auto turn-up, roll set archiving on CD ROM, winder torque, nip, and tension control, advanced diagnostics, and secondary arm pressure control on the reel.

The Winder Controller accepts inputs from an Avtron pulse generator on the rear drum and from Avtron M185 Unipulsers on the unwind spindle and the roll set core chucks. It can also accept analog inputs for measuring tension, nip pressure, and torque. The Reel Controller accepts inputs from the same pulse generator on the reel drum and a Unipulser on the secondary arm. These signals are used to perform the same calculations for the reel as the Winder Controller does for the winder. It can also accept analog inputs for torque and/or pressure.

The System Manager is a Windows NT based computer with a 17-inch monitor running Avtron Graph Arch software. The PC communicates with the winder and reel controllers via an IEEE 802.4 LAN. The System Manager provides software functionality to increase production and reduce losses from both the reel and winder. The System Archiver has the same hardware as the System Manager, running Avtron Data Tool archiving software. The PC communicates with the System Manager via an Ethernet TCP/IP LAN.
